This book aims to present an overview of recent applications of supersymmetry to the description of atomic nuclei. Special care is given to a pedagogical introduction of supersymmetry using simple examples. After a historical overview of the applications of supersymmetry in nuclear physics, progress in the field during the last decade is reviewed. A special emphasis is put on the supersummetrical description of nuclei with an odd number of protons and neutrons. Both theoretical and experimental aspects of supersymmetry are carefully discussed. It is shown how these nuclei can be studied experimentally using state-of-the-art in-beam spectroscopy.
